Year of Jubilee

A Letter From Our Pastors

It brings me great honor, alongside my husband Apostle Fred D. Gooden III,  to pastor one of the greatest churches on the planet.

When people said UNITY would not last six months, this week, we are celebrating six years!

Unity opened on June 3, 2018

In Leviticus 25,  God instructed Moses to tell the Israelites to observe a sabbath year every six years. During these years, they should sow fields, prune the vineyards, and gather crops. Our jubilee will be in the seventh year (which is next year).

I personally thank each member of Unity Charlotte International, in the building and online, as well as Car Chronicles Movement for all of the years of love and support to continue the work of the Lord.  We live in a generation that has taken their hand off of the plow and looked back (Luke 9:62 KJV).  We are still plowing! We are still in the trenches and we are still doing the work together.

THANK YOU AGAIN!

The hardship of Kingdom building in this season can be difficult, but to whom much is given much is required (Luke 12:48). We will remain on the wall with the javelin in one hand and a hammer in the other, building God’s Kingdom together with Liberty, Love and Laughter. With every swing, we are honored to serve with gladness as we represent the Kingdom as Ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In these six years, it has been hard and difficult, but we remain steadfast. For it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:58,

⁵⁸ “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

1 Corinthians 15:58
(KJV)

There is so much work to do in the kingdom.  When you read the Book of Haggai, in the first chapter, the Lord calls to build the house of the Lord. The Bible declares in the book of Haggai 1:9-11:

“You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.

¹⁰ Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.

¹¹ For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and all the labor of your hands.”

Haggai 1:9-11
(NKJV)

There is so much work to do in the Lord’s house that requires your work, your time, and the attention of everyone coming together. We still need a van and want to find a location for childcare. There is so much that we desire to do. However, we are waiting for the Lord to make a financial move to build Unity higher.

We really love and support kingdom business.  Many people do not know we have fixed over 349 people's credit in the church at no cost to them. We sowed into their lives and now most of them are homeowners.

Overall, Unity Charlotte International is committed to impacting lives and improving communities where we live, worship and work. All of our efforts also include but are not limited to:

  • Helping to house people and feed the less fortunate regularly

  • Offering free Financial Literacy Workshops, Budgeting Workshops, Business Workshops, and Homeowner Workshops

  • Providing Back To School Giveaways and Tutoring Services

  • Offering free Grief Support Services

We are here to help the community and do things that most people do not see nor care to understand.  The church is a place where we need to come together to help the community. We are looking forward to another year and many more to come.

Please help us by sowing a seed of $107 or $67 into this ministry. If you are in a position to do more, please do.
Thank you!
